Opus-Two Column Cards
Each card needs positive voltage and a reference ground (negative) connection. These should be made of AWG 16 or AWG 14 stranded wire and properly connected at both ends.
Despite the pins being organized in 12s, the fusing is organized in 8s. Below each set of 8 pins is a blue overcurrent indicator. If the card shuts down due to overcurrent, the light above the header responsible for the overcurrent will illuminate. The card will restore operation after a power cycle. Do not power cycle until correcting the cause of the overcurrent.
Male pins connect toward the start of the card chain (controller card)
FAQ:
When playing a note on a chest, all notes on the chest illuminate.
A chest common/return is either disconnected or connected to the wrong polarity. The LEDs are showing the current returning from individual note wires, not being generated from the card. When playing notes, the LEDs don’t activate.
This is a good indicator that the card doesn’t have power wired to it.
Female receptacle connects to the next card in the chain.
